FIRST IMPRESSION: Missha Time Revolution Essence and Night Repair Ampoule

By Unknown - 01.44

Hi Hi Hi!!

It's been a long time since I've written you a letter! I've missed you and could not wait to hear what you've been up to!

Well, I've been rummaging through my skincare products and realized that I've been using the same products for years! Since the whole world is obsessed with perfect and younger looking skin (thank you to K-dramas and K-pop 😓), I too want to dive into new products and explore the whole world of 10-12 step skincare routine... Okay, I may be a exaggerating a little bit but you get what I mean 💓

So right into the products, I have just bought the raved Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence and Time Revolution Night Repair Science Activator Ampoule

I bought both of these products from SOGO at Central Park Mall.

Products info, pictures, and first impression below:

My skin type: oily and acne prone skin

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence

Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence

Net Weight: 150ml
Main Ingredients: Himalaya Purple Barley, Fermented Gemmule Yeast Extract 80%, Cassia Alata Extract, Niacinamide (vit. B3 component)
Price: Rp 859,000 / $49
Claims: moisturize, better skin texture, improve elasticity, whitening, brightening, and wrinkle care

First Impression: lightweight, clear, and easily absorbed into the skin. It has that yeast, acidic scent but it's not as strong as my SK II essence which people claimed are substitutes for each other.

Missha Time Revolution Night Repair New Science Activator Ampoule

Time Revolution Night Repair Borabit Ampoule

Net Weight: 50ml
Main Ingredients: Bifida Ferment Lysate (reduce signs of aging and improves skin elasticity)
Price: Rp559,000 (on sale right now!) / $49
Claims: hydrate, evening skin tone, wrinkle care, and whitening.

First Impression: odorless and the product is easily absorbed into the skin leaving a bouncy and healthy texture on my skin. I use 2 drops for my whole face so a little does go a looong way. I've been using it for a week and I can see that my skin feels more hydrated.

I was first looking for Missha's Time Revolution Clear Toner but unfortunately it hasn't entered the Indonesian market yet (I know, why?!) so the sales lady was offering the Essence instead. Since I'm about to run out of my SK II's essence and the internet claimed that the Missha Essence is a comparable substitute for the SK II with a portion of the price (and because there was a 20% discount on Missha's products that day ONLY), I decided to try it out.

I'll be testing the Missha Essence and see if it IS a substitute for SK II and see if it lives up to my expectations. Right off the bet, SK II has a stronger "yeast" odor in comparison to Missha's. It's an unusual odor, but the sour smell signifies the most important ingredient, active yeast Pitera, in SK II.

Fingers crossed that Missha can be a dupe for my SK II essence because the price is literally SIGNIFICANTLY affordable.

Well, that's it for my skincare journey! I will be updating you on how these products performed for the next 2 months and whether or not I see any significant difference. Thank you for reading and subscribe for updated review on these products :)

From Yours Truly,

Nindia Djie

P.S: these are my honest reviews and this product may work differently on different skin types. What works for me might not work for you.
